The "2018 China Robot Welding Skills Competition" will be held at the Lanzhou Vocational and Technical College in Gansu from October 16 to 20, 2018. The competition aims to cultivate talents and motivate the skills of robot welding skills training, discover and select high-skilled talents, promote the construction of welding technology and automation majors and curriculum reforms, and improve the quality and competitiveness of welding high-skilled personnel. The competition was hosted by China Welding Association, China Workers Welding Technology Association, American Welding Society, China Mechanical Engineering Society Welding Branch, Beijing University of Technology and Lanzhou University of Technology.
